We are looking for a Public Art Project Manager who is:
• Passionate about Public Art in Christchurch City
• Has an in-depth knowledge of New Zealand’s contemporary visual arts sector
• Excellent at managing complex projects in the public domain
Hours: Between 32 - 40 hours per week (to be discussed and confirmed)
Fixed Term: Mid September 2009 - End February 2011

The SCAPE 2010 Christchurch Biennial of Art in Public Space requires a Public Art Project Manager (PAPM) to manage and coordinate all stages of SCAPE 2010 Christchurch Biennial public art projects.
We are looking for an experienced manager, familiar with contemporary visual arts and/or public art and urban design practices, issues and processes (preferably with experience of working on large-scale public art projects).
You will be a skilled communicator (oral and written), confident working in both the visual arts (reviewing proposal developments, artist liaison) and local government (budget development, and regulatory and construction planning documents) sectors.
In essence, you will be required to assist and implement the Trust’s artistic vision for the SCAPE 2010 Christchurch Biennial by overseeing all stages of public artwork development - from artist selection and concept development, fabrication and installation through to presentation and promotion.
